A. Activity about the vocabulary 1. Write down the new words on the blackboard 2.Divide students into two groups 1. If anyone can make sentences with the vocabulary, he/she will get one point. 2. The group who gets most points wins the game. B. Activity about the dialogue Role Play: 1. Have students to find a partner to play roles of the dialogue. 2. Choose two students to be “Mr. Carter” and “Ms. Liu” and then have a conversation. C. Activity about the reading Looking for the context: 1. Divide the reading into the nine sentences. 2. Divide students into four groups 3. Give each group the nine sentences. 4. Each group needs to look for the context. 5. The group who finishes the activities first wins the game. D. Activity about the prepositional phrases Pair work: 1. Put three pictures on the blackboard 2. Have each student find a partner to play Role A and Role B 3. Ask two students to come to the front and have a conversation e.g. Role A: What are you talking about? Role B: I am talking about the cat under the chair. 4. Then Role A needs to point out the right picture according to the answer of Role B. |
